The committee assists members of the Bar with chemical dependency, mental
illness, and physical impairment issues. The committee's primary objective is to encourage the lawyer to seek
professional evaluation and treatment and to thereafter provide support groups
of lawyers and other professionals.
The work of the committee is confidential. We do not keep records nor do we file
reports to any organization or authority. It is anonymous. Anyone may call the
LCL HOTLINE at (800)497-1422 to request assistance from the lawyer
assistance program.
The committee has worked with the Judicial Department and the
Legislature resulting in the creation of a permanent lawyer assistance program.
Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers-CT, Inc. is located at 2080 Silas Deane Highway,
Rocky Hill, CT 06067. A full-time Executive Director is in the office from
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. LCL-CT also maintains a 24/7
toll-free HOTLINE for the legal community.
The CBA gives strong support to LCL-CT and our activities. Special thanks
