The committee is charged with addressing the issues and problems typically confronting aging lawyers, as well as the benefits such attorneys can confer on the Bar Association, the profession, and community. By way of example, and not by way of limitation, the committee will implement ways to assist senior attorneys who are: reducing practice commitments; phasing out of practice; winding down a practice; transferring a practice; entering retirement and facing healthcare or family loss issues. The committee shall also undertake to capitalize on and utilize the wisdom, expertise, and experience typically possessed by senior attorneys for such purposes as mentoring, volunteer programs, and the like.
