The purpose of the Consumer Law Section is to bring together members of the
Connecticut Bar Association who have a special interest in consumer law issues.
This section has programs for the education of its members who come from both
the public and private sector and who are concerned with consumer protection.
Members represent both business interests and consumer interests. This year,
the section was involved in co-sponsoring a variety of pograms involving
unfair trade practices, predatory lending, and identity theft.
